66x45 cm ~ Design, Furniture
This artwork is inspired by the Altamira Cave in Spain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has the informal but firmly associated title of "Sistine Chapel of the Stone Age". Frescoes and images carved in limestone in the halls and corridors of the Paleolithic era leave no doubt that our ancestors were immensely talented.
The artwork is made with acrylic on canvas glued to a board in a naively abstract style using relief. It is impossible to convey the real color in a photograph, it is a blue "chameleon" and adapts to the lighting, symbolizing the depth of centuries, and changes from "silver" to almost black or reddish, reflecting silhouettes. The relief and expressively splashed paint are also intended to support the feeling of the running time of history, as well as the closed space of the cave.
The non-standard geometry of the artwork is the author's calling card and is not repeated, in this artwork it symbolizes the infinity of the universe, the connection of times, a specific place of rock painting and the infinity of the talent of thinking beings! The naivety of the drawing pays tribute to our ancestors and their creativity!
I consider idea of montage an interesting solution, which makes it possible to hang the artwork at almost any angle, which can be changed, refreshing the interior.
By purchasing this artwork, you definitely become the owner of an exclusive and let a breeze of something strange and new into your room, radically different from the rest of the art community.
